Fort Kent--- Therese Bard, 97, peacefully passed away February 9, 2026 and into the waiting arms of her late husband and children. She was born September 15, 1928, in Eagle Lake, a daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (LeBoeuf) Nadeau.
In 1948 she married Roland V. Bard. Together they had five children, whom they raised in Fort Kent. Therese was a devoted housewife and mother who took great pride caring for her family. Her love of music was expressed by singing in the church choir. She also enjoyed playing cards and BINGO, which always delighted her while sharing with her family and friends. Later in life Therese worked with her sister at the former McLellan’s Dress Shop, Fort Kent.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Bard-Kile and her husband Paul; a son Joey Bard and his wife Pam; daughters-in-law, Peggy and Eva Bard; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Therese was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Roland V. Bard Sr., a daughter Juliette Bard, identical twin sons, Robert “Rocky” and Roland Jr., and three siblings, Camille Nadeau, Reno Nadeau, and Rose Ange Sinclair.
Therese’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Forest Hill Nursing Home for their compassionate and tender care for Therese for so many years.
