Grand Isle---Therese Tardif, 88, passed away surrounded by her family on January 9, 2015 at a Frenchville health care facility after a short illness. She was born in Madawaska on July 4, 1926, daughter of the late Zepherin and Emma (Clavette) Gendreau. She is survived by four daughters, Verna Tardif and her husband Dan of West Palm Beach, FL, Ruth Dumond and her husband Wilson of El Paso, TX, Diane Doucette and her husband Norman of St. David, Deb Tardif and her fiancé Bob Macon of Willington, CT; her sister, Germaine Cyr of Hobe Sound, FL; her God-daughter, Jeannine Levesque and her husband Norman of Newington, CT; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Philip Tardif; her daughter, Norma Grivois; sisters, Rena Cyr, Albertine Landry, Bertha Pauroso, Martha Cyr; brothers, Gerard and Euclide Gendreau. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle. In keeping with Therese's wishes there will be no visiting hours.
