Obituary

Presque Isle/Madawaska – Thomas G. Dyke, 83, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle.  He was born in Lewiston, Maine on September 9, 1941, the son of Ronald and Helen (Cushman) Dyke.  Tom attended Niagara Falls High School and the University of Maine at Orono where he graduated with a degree in Pulp and Paper Technology.  He went on to work at Twin Rivers Paper Company (Fraser Papers) as a manager for 39 years until his retirement.  After retirement, whenever he would pay at a store or restaurant, he would always say, "Print that receipt twice.  We will keep the paper mills going."  He enjoyed golfing, fishing and especially attending all of his grandson's sporting events.  He is survived by his loving daughter, Susan Guidry and her husband Roy of Presque Isle, along with his grandson, Jace Guidry, who was his pride and joy.  His brother-in-law, Brian Dunstan and Bill (Dru) Mang, and nieces and nephews, John (Ashley) Mang, Katie (Jon) Watkins, Barry Dunstan and Courtney (Scott) Glenn.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Marielle (Muriel) Beaulieu Dyke, and three siblings, Stanton Dyke, Shirley Mang and Janet Dunstan.  Relatives and friends may offer their condolences at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska from 1pm to 3pm on Friday, June 6, 2025.  A Graveside Service will be held at the St. Thomas Cemetery at 3:15pm on Friday.
