Madawaska---Valeda M. Michaud, 83, passed away March 10, 2011 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in St. David on July 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Felix and Lena (Ayotte) Cyr. Valeda is survived by one daughter, Bernice Levesque and her husband Real of St. Basile, N.B.; one son, Kenneth Michaud of Bolton, CT; two grand-daughters, Kelly Levesque of Morrisville, PA, and Thais Smart and her husband Steve of Fort Kent; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Sara Smart both of Fort Kent; two sisters, Artheline Cyr and her husband Leon of Edmundston, Jeanne Caron and her husband Donat of CT; six brothers, Gilbert Cyr and his wife Therese of Bangor, Roland Cyr and his wife Phyllis of CT, Normand Cyr and his wife Betty of CT, Chanel Cyr of Madawaska, Bertrand Cyr and his wife Pat of CT, Enoil Cyr and his wife Barbara also of CT; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry S. Michaud; one sister, Aurore Martin; and one brother, Ernie Cyr. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in the spring.
