IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Valier J.
Thibeault
March 21, 1920 – September 30, 2021
Madawaska---It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband/father Valier Thibeault, age 101. Mr. & Mrs. Thibeault celebrated 77 years of marriage on October 25, 2020, a remarkable accomplishment! He was a Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Madawaska Council 2638 and was recently recognized for being the oldest member with 77 years of service. In earlier years, Valier needed to leave school and commit his time to helping his father on the family farm. Knowing the importance of education, he went back to receive his GED in 1960. In 1962 they moved to Madawaska, and he was employed at Fraser Paper for 16 years and retired in 1976. In his retirement, they would spend their winters in Port St. Lucie, which they did for 18 years. He enjoyed being with his family, friends, and spending time watching the wildlife on Long Lake. He got excited when feeding his ducks and fish at the pond, his smile was contagious when doing so. After moving away from the lake, his enjoyment came from socializing and telling many stories, especially while having coffee with friends and family at Tim Hortons. He also worked very hard in the gardens and took pride in every harvest.
