Madawaska---Velma T. (Gagnon) Daigle, 82, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at a Fort Kent health care facility.  She was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick on August 31, 1937, daughter of the late Henri and Elizabeth (Aubout) Gagnon.  Velma was active with the Daughters of Isabella.  She enjoyed playing cards as well as entertaining family and friends.  She spent her days baking, doing embroidery and ceramics.  She loved spending her summers at the family camp with her children and grandchildren.  Velma is survived by her husband of sixty years, Real Daigle of Madawaska; one daughter, Ginette Desjardins and her husband Paul of Madawaska; three sons, Andre Daigle and his wife Yvonne of St. David, Mark Daigle and his wife Sonia of Edmundston, NB, and Jeffrey Daigle of Frenchville; grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd and Ivan Gagnon.  Velma is predeceased by her parents, Henri and Elizabeth; one daughter, Susan; one sister, Verna Bosse; one brother, Lucien Gagnon.  Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
