Van Buren--- Verna M. (Levesque) Chaloult, 78, peacefully entered into rest Friday, February 14, 2020, with her devoted husband at her side. She was born May 25, 1941 in Van Buren, one of 16 children born of the late Arthur and Mattie (Madore) Levesque.

She is survived by: her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Reginald Chaloult; one son, Robert Chaloult and his wife Bonnie of California; seven siblings, Lorraine Lavoie of Van Buren, Marge Gingras of So. Carolina, Diane Shattuck of Maryland, Elsie Goulet of Canada, Arlene Reis, Raymond Levesque and Larry Levesque, all of Connecticut; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Verna was predeceased by siblings Arnold Levesque, Gilbert Levesque, Joan Akerly, Jeannine Levesque, Pauline Buber, Rita Thibodeau, Herbie Levesque, and Della Tardif.

Due to COVID-19 requirements, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately by her family at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren, with her burial being in Grand River Cemetery, Van Buren. Arrangements are service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
