Fort Fairfield---Verna M. McBreairty, 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at a Caribou health care facility while surrounded by her children and grandchildren.  She was born in Allagash on November 18, 1949, daughter of the late Charles A. Albert and Minnie (Hafford) Walker.  She attended Allagash and Fort Fairfield schools.  Verna was married to the late Anthony B. McBreairty, Sr. and devoted her life to being a homemaker and amazing mother to Anthony B. McBreairty, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Eagle Lake, Aaron A. McBreairty and his partner Jennifer of Fort Kent, and Tracy M. Boucher and her husband Mark of Hermon.  She is the grandmother of Anthony B. McBreairty III, Lane R. McBreairty, Konner R. Boucher, Bentley J. Pelletier, Shyla M. Churchill, Caitlyn and Krysta Greene; great grandmother to, Levi R. and Kohlson D. Churchill, Aubrey J., and Esmai A.M. McBreairty.  She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, McClaren E. and Joni Walker of Florida; two sisters, Catherine Dubois and her husband George of St. Francis, and Alberta D. Babin of Fort Fairfield; one special sister-in-law, Rose Anne Walker of Fort Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, Verna was predeceased by three brothers, Charles R. Walker, Rodney J. Walker, and Robert W. Walker; two sisters, Rose G. Thompson, and Jeweline Bonnell; one very special aunt, Florence Davenport.  A Funeral Service will be held 11am on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the Allagash Baptist Church.  Family and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Sunday and from 9am until 10am on Monday before the service.  Interment will be held in the Allagash Baptist Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
