Madawaska---Viola C. Hebert, 87, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2022, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born in Frenchville on April 25, 1935, the daughter of Leo and Mamie (Pelletier) Michaud. Over the years, Viola enjoyed traveling, sewing, ceramics, knitting, decoupage, and vegetable gardening. Viola was a member of the Madawaska Daughters of Isabella. She was truly amazing at whatever she set her mind to accomplish. She is survived by her husband, Romeo Hebert; daughters, Beatrice Cunningham, Rachel Lapointe, and her husband Peter; sons, Daniel Cyr and his wife Michelle, Michael Cyr; stepdaughter, Diane Michaud and her husband John; Stepson, Kevin Hebert and his companion, Don Pelletier; step daughter-in-law, Sandra Hebert. She was "memere" to six grandchildren, Ken Hutchinson, Matthew Chartier, Breana and Chantel Lapointe, Benjamin Cyr, Dr. Lori Lie (Eli) Richardson; seven great grandchildren, Jasmine and Madison Hutchinson, Elise and Ophelia Chartier, Nikoli Holbrook, William V, and Genevieve Richardson; four step grandchildren, Eric and Matthew Michaud, Cassie Ouellette, Sarah Hebert; two step great grandchildren, Natalie Michaud and Emerson Hillegass who will miss her dearly; two sisters, Claudette Michaud and Carlene Boucher; two brothers, Gerald and Leo Paul Michaud. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Bertrand Cyr to whom she was married to for thirty-nine years; a brother, Richard Michaud; a sister, Jeannine Tardif; two stepsons, Brian and Gary Hebert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the St. David Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until time of service at 10am. Burial will take place immediately after the Service at the St. Thomas Cemetery in Madawaska. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Viola's memory to Meals on Wheels, C/O Aroostook Area Agency on aging 260 Main St., Presque-Isle, ME 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
