Fort Kent - Viola M. Pelletier, 88, peacefully passed away on May 25, 2026. She was born February 28, 1938, in Fort Kent, a daughter of the late Romeo and Adrienne (Babin) Theriault.

Viola spent her life rooted in the community she loved and called home. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her love of baking, and the joy she found in sharing stories with family and friends. She cherished talking about her childhood memories, family connections, and the generations of relatives that tied everyone together. Her kitchen and conversations brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of belonging to those around her.

A talented cook, Viola worked for many different places throughout town over the years, where she became known for her hard work, caring nature, and the meals she prepared for so many in the community. Cooking was not only her work, but also one of the many ways she showed love to others.

More than anything, Viola loved her family. She took pride in each of them and found happiness in gathering together, reminiscing, and keeping family traditions alive. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was also a longtime member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries for many years.

Viola leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and treasured memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
