IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia
Bourgoin
August 4, 1935 – February 19, 2023
Virginia (Pelletier) Bourgoin, 87, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2023. She was born on August 4, 1935, the daughter of the late Fortuna and Delia (Ringuette) Pelletier. Virginia was an incredibly kind person who enjoyed time with family and friends. She was strong in her faith, and was active in the church in various capacities, including as a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Whether cooking a delicious meal, or listening to a family member or friend tell her about their day, Virginia was always present and engaged in the lives of those she loved. Her sense of humor kept the mood light, and those around her smiling. She was genuinely pure of heart. Virginia enjoyed living near Long Lake. She cherished having family and friends over for an afternoon of swimming and campfires. She loved sharing fresh vegetables from the beautiful garden that she and Luc would plant annually. Virginia was predeceased by her beloved husband and sweetheart of 60 years, J. Luke Bourgoin. Virginia was also predeceased by a son, Steve, a daughter, Elena, three sisters; Ida, Imelda, and Rita, as well as two brothers; Leonard and Roger. Virginia is survived by her daughter Jan Young and husband Steve of Frenchville, one granddaughter Samantha Davis and husband Joshua, and their children Lenora, Verity, and Henson of Intervale N.H., one grandson Derek Young and wife Morgan of St. David, a sister-in-law Bella, and several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the St. Agatha Church in St. Agatha. Relatives and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9 am to 9:45 am before the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Virginia's memory to the Ridgewood Estates Activity Fund in Madawaska, (480 Ridgeview Avenue, Madawaska, ME 04756).
