Ashland & Portage Lake--- Vivian M. Morris, 94, died March 16, 2022, at a Presque Isle hospital. Born August 12, 1927 in Masardis, she was the only daughter of the late George and Mildred (Duffy) Shaw.

Vivian worked for Maine Forest Service for many years procuring insects in the Maine woods, assisting with the State's entomology studies. In addition, she worked alongside her husband, Eugene, as they undertook tree scaling and harvesting in all areas of the North Maine Woods for Great Northern. Vivian was a longtime member of the Portage Hills Country Club, since its opening, and she participated for many years in the Ladies' and Seniors' Leagues. She loved hunting and fishing, many trips accompanied by her loving family, and rarely missed a partridge season. Vivian also enjoyed cheering on her Boston Red Sox or busying her hands with knitting projects to share with her friends and family.

She is survived by: seven children, Grace Ouellette and her companion William Vazquez of Tennessee, Alice Higgins and her husband Daniel of Portage, Sheila Jimmo and her husband Roland, Sharon Everett and her husband Donald, all of Ashland, Russell Morris of Portage, Peggy Morris of Ashland, and Stuart Morris and his wife Oleah of Utah; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Condon of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her first husband, Percy Condon, her second husband, Eugene Morris, one son, Andy Condon, two grandchildren, Tammy & Russell, and four brothers.

A graveside service will be celebrated at 12 noon on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Portage Lake Municipal Cemetery, RTE. 11/Aroostook Rd., Portage, where Vivian and her husband Eugene will both be laid to rest.
