Grand Isle/Van Buren---William "Noir" Bellefleur, 70, passed away on October 21, 2015 at a Caribou health care facility. He was born in Green River, New Brunswick on August 20, 1945, son of the late Abel and Laura (Vaillancourt) Bellefleur. Being a jack-of-all-trades, Noir worked for 20+ years for Herbert and Simone Vaillancourt. He would often be found covered in grease from head to toe. In his later years, he enjoyed being outside working in his vegetable and flower gardens. He also loved to watch wrestling on tv and listening to French music on Saturday nights. He is survived by his beloved companion of seventeen years, Gloria Chamberland of Grand Isle; two daughters, Lori Ann Bellefleur of Grand Falls, N.B., Diane Smart of Caribou; four grandchildren, Justin Bosse and Lee William Bosse, Luke and Samantha Smart; three great grandchildren; one sister, Clairmont Devost of Green River, N.B.; two brothers, Normand Bellefleur of Caribou, Romeo Beurbe of Montreal, QC; several nieces and nephews. Noir was predeceased by his first wife, Geraldine (Duplessis) Bellefleur; and three siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the St. Bruno/St. Remi Church in Van Buren. Family and friends may offer their condolences on Monday before the Mass at the church from 10am until 10:45am.
