Obituary

Ashland--- William "Billy" Michaud, 74, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at his home. He was born December 18, 1944 in Presque Isle, a son of the late Thomas Michaud and Lillian Bear, and raised in Ashland.
Billy served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked many years in Connecticut and Florida in various construction fields before retiring to his hometown of Ashland. Billy truly embraced the many simple things in life and enjoyed tending to his home. He like to build birdhouses he would gift to friends or hang in his yard to enjoy visits from his feathered friends. He especially cherished spending time with his infant granddaughter.
He is survived by: four children, Jennifer Michaud of Connecticut, Aimee Olsen and her husband Brent of Friendship, Jason Reardon and his wife Mulysa of Connecticut,  and Jeremy Cleveland and his wife Trisha of Connecticut; many siblings; fifteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Billy was predeceased by a daughter, Heidi Michaud, in 2017, and several siblings.
Relatives and friends may greet the family 6-8:00PM on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St./PO Box 39, Ashland, followed by a prayer service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
