Madawaska—William "Billy" P. Nelson Jr., the VIP manager and lifelong resident of Madawaska, ME passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2020 at the young age of 47. Bill is survived by his mother; Lucienne (Dufour) Nelson; his children, William (Willy) Nelson of Madawaska, and Cassandra Nelson of Oklahoma and her partner Jaci. He is also survived by his longtime partner of 15 years, Carrie Lagasse; three sisters, Jeannine Nelson, Eileen Winfrey (Steve), Kathleen Nelson Ahern; nine nieces and nephews, Tristan, Kara (Curtis), Cory, Aidan, Chloe, Kinley, Kaisley, Valerie, and Ryan. And one great nephew Sumit. Bill is predeceased by his father William Nelson Sr.  Bill has such a special place in our hearts and will be greatly missed by many, including the Lagasse family, the Marquis family, the Dubay family, the VIP family, and many close friends. Bill's humor and smile were contagious. He was a kind soul with such a fun loving personality and was loved by many. We believe he would have left us with this message, "Please don't cry because I'm gone, be happy I was here, and hold on to memories." In honor of his memory and to follow his wishes, a gathering to celebrate him will be postponed until the summer of 2021.
