Fort Kent—Winnifred "Winnie" Jandreau, 94, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2022, at Crosswinds with Keith (Judy) and Andy (Donna) by her side. She was born on August 4, 1927, daughter of the late Victor and Isabelle (Gagnon) Jandreau. She was very dedicated wife and mother; she was loved by all who met her. She was a great cook, loved camping, gardening, knitting, and was the biggest potato picker around (100 barrels a day!). She was a tough act to follow and will be dearly missed. Winnie is survived by her three sons, Andy (Donna), Keith (Judy), and Ervin (June); two daughters, Myra (Mark), and Gail (Buford); her three sisters, Angy, Marybelle, and Nadine; three brothers, Hansley, Nelson, and Calvin; along with nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Winnie is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Valier Jandreau who passed in 2015; two brothers, Alphandore, and Marvin; five sisters, Bella, Verna, Vina, Irene, and Margie. We are extremely grateful for excellent care she received these past 7 years at Crosswinds. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, Crosswinds Residential Care, Activity Fund, 40 Village rd. Fort Kent, ME 04743. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, 10am, at St. Charles Church in St. Francis. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
