Van Buren--- Yolande M. Gauvin, 71, entered into rest Sunday, May 26, 2019, in Caribou, following a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 23, 1948 in St. Leonard, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Come and Ida (Martin) Doucet.

She last worked as a CNA for Northern Maine Aroostook Alternatives, Van Buren, for several years, before her retirement in 2013. Yolande previously worked at Borderview Rehab and Nursing, Van Buren, for over 30 years as a dedicated nurse. She loved gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers or sneaking away to the local BINGO games. She loved her children and her grandchildren, whom especially enjoyed her sense of humor or "funny" accent.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 25 years, Jacques Gauvin of Van Buren; three children, Lynda Beaulieu of Van Buren, Sandie Willette Cyr of Waterville, and Jimmy Willette and his wife Pamela of Van Buren; seven siblings, Fernand Doucet and his wife Eva, Claire St. Germaine, all of St. Leonard, NB, Canada, Aline Kirk of Mississippi, Burt Doucet of Connecticut, Jeanine Clavette and her husband Roger of St. Leonard, NB, Canada, Michline Doucet of Seven Is., QC, Canada, and Joyce Cyr of St. Leonard, NB, Canada; four grandchildren, Kurt Chasse, Travis Cyr, Lindsay Beaulieu, Dakota Willette, Riley Ayotte, Mikal Ayotte, & Jazmine Ayotte; one great grandson, Maicen Gagnon; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Yolande was predeceased by two sibling, Donata Boudreau and Rudolph Doucet.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, Main St., Van Buren. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Yolande's name may be made to: Edgar J.
