Madawaska---Yvette C. Bourgoin, 89, passed away January 24, 2017 at a Madawaska health care facility.  She was born in St. Leonard, New Brunswick on October 19, 1927, daughter of the late Maxime and Alice (Thibodeau) Michaud.  Yvette worked as a Registered Nurse for over forty years while raising eight children.  She lived for the annual Bourgoin family reunion.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, travelling, but most of all she loved shopping.  She is survived by eight children, Don Bourgoin and his wife Jeannine of Manchester, CT, Philip "Mouse" Bourgoin and his wife Elizabeth, Liz Sirois and her husband Steve all of Madawaska, Ann Rideout and her husband Danny of Holden, Patricia Curry of St. David, Michael Bourgoin of Madawaska, Margaret Hebert of Madawaska, Della Schlicher and her husband Robert of Grand Isle; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Jeannine Bourgoin of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews.  Yvette was predeceased by her husband George Bourgoin; five siblings.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday and from 9am until 9:45am on Friday before the service.  Spring interment will be held in the St. David Cemetery.  For online condolences, please visit www.lajoiefuneralhome.com
