Fort Kent--- Yvette Hebert, 94, peacefully entered into Eternal Life and into the waiting arms of her late husband on October 21, 2024, with her loving family at her side. She was born April 12, 1930, in Frenchville, a daughter of the late Denis and Marie (Gervais) Madore, and stepdaughter of the late Wilbrod Roy
She was a life member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne and the Columbiettes for many years. She said many Rosaries for her family and loved playing cards with her Mountain View friends. Yvette became a widow after 25 years of marriage and proudly managed to raise her large family on her own.
She is survived by 14 children, Beatrice (Bert) Michaud, Rose (Dave) Bourgoin, Kenneth (Tammy) Hebert, Jackie (Charles) Collin, all of Frenchville, Rena (Carroll) Jandreau, Reynold (Bev) Hebert, Jeannine (Guil) Guerrette, Carlene (Steve) Caron, John (Lynn) Hebert, Michael (Sue) Hebert, Laurie Cyr, Bruce (Lise) Hebert, all of Fort Kent, Theresa (Roland) Guerrette of St. Agatha, and Juliette (Glenn) Gagnon of Enfield; 32 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; three siblings, Dolores Chasse, Evangeline Bouley, both of Fort Kent, and Bert (Lori) Roy of Connecticut; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Charette and Joan Roy; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Yvette was predeceased by her beloved husband of 25 years, Lucien Hebert in 1975, a daughter, Lucienne Hebert in 2020, three grandchildren, Bonnie Michaud and Jessica & Troy Caron, two infant great grandchildren, Tucker Caron and Morgan Voisine, a son-in-law, Philippe Cyr, five siblings, Aline Hebert, Egline Dubois, Josephat Madore, Ivan Roy, and Normand Roy
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday evening 6 – 8:00 PM and Tuesday morning 8:30-9:30 AM at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
