IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Yvette
Pelletier
January 31, 1928 – August 17, 2019
Yvette Pelletier, 91, died surrounded by family, on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at a Madawaska health care facility, after several years of declining health. She was born on January 31, 1928 in St. Francois, New Brunswick, Canada, the third of eight children of the late Joseph and Emelia (Bouchard) Dionne. She married Gerard Pelletier on September 26, 1953; they moved to Madawaska shortly thereafter and made their life together there. Yvette was a loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to raising and guiding her children and providing lifelong support to the entire family. Yvette was a talented seamstress and especially loved to cook for her family and took great satisfaction in planning special meals for all. Her quiet presence, yet loud and infectious laugh, will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of more than 65 years, Gerard, and five children: Reno (Karen) of Denver, CO; Robert (Linda) of Madawaska; Rinette Redmond of Carolina Shores, NC; Elaine (Donna) of Atlanta, GA; and Carole Gelotti (Richard) of Hollis NH; seven grandchildren: Linette, Jamie, Kaitlyn, Gabrielle, Tyler, James, and Jon and four great grandchildren: Harmony, Reagan, Owain, and Theodore. She is also survived by one brother: Normand, of St. Francois, NB; and one sister: Rita Taggart of Fort Kent; along with several in-laws and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by several siblings: Germaine, Leonide, Adelard, Simone, and Gerard (Bébé), a granddaughter, and a son-in-law, Lucius Redmond. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska on Tuesday from 6p.m until 8p.m. and on Wednesday before the service from 9am until 9:45a.m. Yvette spent the last four years of her life living at Ridgewood Estates in Madawaska. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Ridgewood for their care and love during those years. The Pelletier siblings specifically thank their brother Bob and his wife Linda for their extraordinary care provided to our mom (and dad) over the years. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Yvette in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Ridgewood Estates Activities Department, 480 Ridgeview Ave., Madawaska, ME 04756.
