Fort Kent--- Yvette Taggart Rioux, 85, peacefully entered into Eternal Life August 6, 2024. She was born December 11, 1938, in St. Francois, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Alphee and Alice (Emond) Cyr.

Yvette was a devoted homemaker and loved raising her children and caring for her husband. She went to work at former Gerber Textiles, Fort Kent, as a seamstress for almost 30 years. When Yvette wasn't busy chasing her grandchildren, she loved caring for her gardens, canning, and busied her hands with many sewing projects. She was also a big cribbage player and sudoku player.

She is survived by five children, Judy Rioux of Florida, Roger Taggart and his wife Charlene of Fort Kent, Terry Rioux, Todd Rioux and his wife Elizabeth of Florida, and Susan Taggart Langevin of Clair, NB; four siblings, Reno Cyr of St. Francois, NB, Cecile Cyr of Montreal, Jeanne D'Arc Nadeau of Edmundson, NB, Nicole Mazerolle of Saigas NB; nine grandchildren, Jeff, Cindy, Von, Mathew, Tyler, Derek, Michael, Monday, and Jessica; seven great grandchildren, Nathanial, Wyatt, Piper, Willow, Aurora, Madison, and Joey; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Yvette was predeceased by her first husband, Murray Taggart in 1964, her second husband Reginald Rioux in 2008, two sons-in-law, Perry Wade and Andre Langevin, seven siblings, Albert Cyr, Laurette Nadeau, Therese Cormier, Georgette Cyr, Yvonne Cyr, Marie-Anna "Cadet" Power, and Louisette Cyr

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, August 12, 2024, at St. Louis Church, Fort Kent. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Sunday evening 6 – 8:00 PM and Monday morning 8:30- 9:30 AM at Lajoie Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Yvette's name may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter, 383 US Route One, Suite 2C
