Van Buren- Yvonne Boutot, 91, peacefully passed away July 25, 2022, at a Caribou hospital. She was born March 29, 1931, in St. Anne, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Albert and Azilda (Gagnon) Dube.
Yvonne was a parishioner of St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, where for years she also assisted with the parish's Mercy Meals following funeral services and was a longtime volunteer for Van Buren's thrift store, People Helping People. She worked many years in the housekeeping department of former Borderview Manor. She loved great card games or working on jigsaw puzzles. Yvonne cherished her memories spent with her growing family and enjoyed sharing with them her hand knitted mittens and socks.
She is survived by three children, Carline Dube of Glenburn, Norman Boutot and his wife Rachel of Coventry, CT, and Alan Boutot of Lisbon Falls; a daughter-in-law, Carmen Boutot of Van Buren; six grandchildren, Tom, Don, Tammy, Shawn, Nicole & Nicholas; eight great grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, Jason, Ashley, Dominick, Cierra, Eliza & Emma; three great-great grandsons, Dominic, James & Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Yvonne was predeceased by her beloved husband of almost 65 years, Rosaire Boutot in 2014, a son Clarence Boutot in 2018, daughter-in-law Patty Boutot in 2020, son-in-law Gaetan Dube in 2021, and nine siblings, Gilbert Dube, Claude Dube, Theo Dube, Edna Roussell, Francine Desjardins, Guy Dube, Jeanne Lagace, Bernadette Gagnon, and Benoit Thibodeau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, October 7, 2022, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Main St., Van Buren. Burial will follow in Grand River Cemetery, Van Buren. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
