Liza L. Lajoie

Owner/Funeral Practitioner

Growing up in rural Aroostook county Liza L. Lajoie knew she had a calling for funeral service at a young age. After graduating from Van Buren District Secondary School, she decided to leave everything she had ever known behind to achieve her lifelong dream of being a Funeral Director and owning her own funeral home. While working at a funeral home in Wolcott, CT, she earned her degree from Briarwood College in Mortuary Science. After graduation, her urge to relocate to northern Maine grew stronger and found that the former Daigle Funeral Home of Madawaska was searching for a manager. Family being of utmost importance to Liza, it only made sense to move closer to her family in Cyr Plantation, Maine. After working for the Daigle family for three years, Liza finally aquired the business on Februray 5, 2010. She has lots of fresh ideas, new perspectives and technical knowledge that she plans to implement as quickly as she can. In her spare time, Liza enjoys spending time with her family, working on the Lajoie family potato farm, camping, riding four wheeler, and spending time at the family camp on beautiful Long Lake.
